I think I have a swollen Uvula, but am unsure. I woke up this morning constantly having to swallow. It doesn't feel normal. I kinda feels like it's swollen. I thought it was out of place or something this morning, but I've tried a lot of water drinking and movements to get it comfortable.

I can't believe that if you've had a lifetime of tonsillitis your doctor has not suggested you get your tonsils out! Tonsils are good for some stuff, but when they get infected and swollen so frequently, I think it's time to get rid of them.

I get it for a couple of reasons…1. Strep throat or another infection or 2. because it is made of a connective tissue and I have fibromyalgia and inflammed connective tissues. When that flares up I am more likely to have a swollen uvula.

I am now pretty sure its actually my uvula rubbing against my tongue. Also accompanying this has been coughing up ... Obviously, if I do have an allergy to ferrets, we`ll have to get rid of ours. But my daughter is very attached to it and I don`t want to get rid of it, only to find the problem is something else entirely.
