Is there any way at all to revive my poor plant? ... If the plant is unhappy, then it's roots won't grow quickly enough to fill the extra dirt, and you'll have lots of extra water sitting in that dirt which leads to fungus (and a dead plant). So, it may have been a large number of things.

Completely died? Fergeddit. Sorta dead? Trim off the really brown bits, water ever so lightly, keep in a constant temp (65- 75 degrees) and in non direct light. I wouldn' reccomend fertilizer as it can burn a weak plant.

If the house plant is already dead and you wish to revive it, you need miracle grow plant sticks, sun and water. That's it. You simply water it about once a week if it's located in a place where there is little or no sunlight.

The first thing I did was bring the 'dead' plant inside to get warm. It was a cool, autumn evening and the plant could have been out in the cold for any length of time. ... I doubt anyone had made water available to this plant in some time. My second, predictable, discovery was that the roots were pretty much dead.

After I removed the dead roots I removed dead foliage. This step can be done at the same time as cutting the roots. ... This plant had so much dead foliage, that when all was said and done there was only one good stem left: the one healthy and shiny new stem that made me bring the plant home in the first place.

Does anyone of you here had an ‘old’ laptop whose batteries can’t even last 10 minutes?
