Uranus is a gas planet, and all of the gas planets have rings. The rings of Uranus are very faint, so you can not see them from here on earth. There are for sure at least nine rings. The exact number is not known for sure.

Uranus has 27 moons that we know of. Five of the moons are large and the rest are much smaller. The five large moons are called Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon. Titania is the largest moon of Uranus and it is covered with small craters, a few large craters, and very rough rocks.

The rings of Uranus (and some of its moons) are shown in the adjacent Hubble Space Telescope image. The rings were discovered from the Earth in 1977 when Uranus occulted (passed in front of) a star and it was noticed that there were dips in the brightness of the star before and after it passed behind the body of Uranus.
