I'm not sure how much xanax it would take to actually kill someone, but why take a chance. Everyone reacts differently to meds. Not too mention 200 pills are a lot even if it's just aspirin. I think if he's hinting that he may do it he wants someone to stop him.

Some antidepressants are very effective in treating anxiety as well as depression. Some anti-anxiety medications are not benozodiazapines. I strongly suggest you see a psychiatrist for medication related to your anxiety - your GP means well...

He would (if allowed to) take Xanax to the point of nirvana, and never go to work. At the dose I allow him (30 mg a month) he is able to work, but still has some anxiety. If I gave him 60 mg a month, he'd take that, and in a few months he'd have just as much anxiety, but now be at twice the dose.
