please help i can't boot my computer i get the following Error message. Cannot create a tempary directory,if you have HPFS or NTFS installed on your hard drive,you will need to create an MS-DOS boot partition to set up windows.what must i do next in simple words please; ... "i would run fdisk but don’t know how."

I had a dual boot system (Win95 and WinNT). I had some nasty problems with Win95, so, being stupid enough, I ran fdisk on it. Now, when I try to re-install Win95 from CD, I get a message that if I have NTFS partition, I need to create MS-DOS boot partition first.

Keywords: Install Problem - "Create an MS-DOS B... ... I also suggest doing a fdisk /mbr to make sure every bit of the max-crap are gone. Also, make sure to set your boot partition as active!

Free Boot Disks IDE CDrom Drivers Included ... 2. The W2K Pro disks are zipped images from the MS CD. Best bet is to download them, upzip them to a new folder where you also put makeboot.exe and makebt32.exe into and then run one of the makeboot utils depending on if you're in dos or windows to create the diskset.

Ken over at ACR Data Recovery Services says that a few of my visitors told him to ask for a link. He has software that is used for repairing boot sectors and partition tables for DOS, Win95/98 and WinNT/2000 (FAT16, FAT32, NTFS) formatted hard ...
