I was just reading in Shojo Beat magazine that the casual way to say good bye is spelled "Jyaane".. I've never seen that before, but I have seen "Ja-ne". ... Please check out www.japanese999.com It has a list of "How to say...in Japanese" greeting posts.

In the Japanese lannguage, a word does not change in the plural as it does in American. For example "kata" may mean one kata or five kata. It is incorrect to say "katas" ... Good-bye...
