Sit start – with one foot on the webbing and the other hanging in mid air or both starting on the line, use your body weight to rock forward and stand up without using the ground to assist you. Setting up a slack line is really easy but you need a few strong people to give it a tug. That is the hardest part. the first thing you want to do is set up your anchors. I set them up around a tree. You either want to use cortelettes or slings.

i just wanted to know if any1 could give me a url or tell me how to set up slack lining, i saw it at Blue mounds and it looked fun, even know i didnt get to try it, but i live in DC and i think alot of the ppl i climb with up there ... The slackline in my backyard is put up this way, and has only 1' of drop in 30' of line.

what are smoe ways to set up a slackline and keep it tight, does anyone have any ... I recommend the Ellington also. It will lock off and stay there, so if you want to leave your line up you can, but you can also take it down easily with no hassle, unlike soft-pointing (tying off solid with another piece of webbing).
