Excessive drying can also shrink clothes. High- tech washers and dryers with computerized controls limit the risk of shrinkage in modern water-based cleaning. To shrink some jeans, I would suggest washing in hot water especially when they're new, then drying on high heat and leaving them in the dryer afterwards.

Chill Out Room - ya this is an odd question ButI have some expensive jeans that are too big for me Cant take em back ... Just wash them on hot/cold, as soon as it's into the wash cycle, switch to warm/warm, and dry on high heat. That's the best you can do really. If they won't shrink, they won't shrink.
