First shoot it with a 22 unless you want to dig bbs all night. Second it's simple to skin a fox. Hang it up by it's back legs. I don't like the paws on so I will tell you how to do it without the pads. With the fox hanging with it's legs spread apart.

Here is how I skin a gray fox. I do it a lot faster when not trying to make a video I promise. I may still be slow, but I haven’t ever skinned but 2 of them so y’all bear with me. Oh and if you use a hook bill razor knife, it works better the flatter you lay it.

A fox should always be skinned in a manner called case skinned regardless of weather it is used for a mount or soft tan or a rug. The fox will skin easiest warm. Look up how to case skin a fox in the net or if you cant find fox look or raccoon case skinning is case skinning regardless of the animal.

If you don't get if off, the brain will not penetrate the skin, nor will the smoke. What I can't get with the blade, I will try to get off by abrading with a chunk of pumice stone or sandpaper. The torso of the fox goes easily, the head, legs and tail do not.
