The rent is still split two ways. The utilities are now split THREE ways. It doesn't matter who lives in the apartment for how long, has guests, goes out, sleeps someplace else, the monthly rent is split evenly for a two bedroom place where the bedrooms are basically the same size.

I think it should be divided by 4 to keep it completely fair (the two people sharing a room are obviously a couple, and would be sharing regardless of the number of bedrooms), and all 4 people have equal access to the rest of the apartment ...
