From what I was aware of when playing the wing T the best way to stop it is to realize that the strong side of the offense runs totally different plays than the weak side. It is almost as if you are going up against two different offenses at the same time.

1. "To the stop the Wing-T all you have to do is stop the Buck Sweep." Many Wing-T coaches might disagree with this statement but I feel that the Buck Sweep is the most important play in the Wing-T package and if you can run it effectively you can pretty much run what ever you what off of it.

I play semi-pro football and we run a 4-3 and 4-4 defense. We got absolutely burned by a wing-t offense and the same opponent is coming up on the schedule again. I was wondering if there was a certain defense we should use to stop this offense or any changes we can make with these current defenses....Thank you;

And also my Double-Wing system: we rushed 504 times for 3670 yards (7.28 yards per play) and outscored opponents 353-172. Not bad for a group of kids running it for the first time. And although we were pretty basic in sticking to a solid core of plays, we didn't stick to just one formation.
