Want to totally reset my computer!, I have no idea how to, please help. ... Reboot to your floppy and go back to the dos prompt. Now you should be able to access your hard drive which should be C:/. Go back to your A: directory. Now do Format C:. It will prompt you saying that it will erase all the contents of the drive..

I've seen it done before.. press some buttons during startup and it reboots the entire system.. deleting everything you ever had and basically giving you a wiped clean computer.. I just can't remember how to do it. ... totally knackered laptop - multi viruses rannoch Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs 5 18-05-2007...

Well i have decided to totally reboot my computer, i recently posted a thread trying to obtain info on how to rid myself of a hacker.. it hasnt got any better and i would really like to start from scratch.

If your computer has frozen because of one application, but you still have unsaved work on another application, you can try to force-quit out of the frozen application. Hold down command-option-escape to force-quit. ... It is preferable that you reboot if an application freezes though.
