While learning how to write a manuscript, I spent a little extra time of time and research developing a simple to use guide to help you create a manuscript. This guide helps me format my manuscripts prior to submission to traditional publishers or literary agents.

Do not place "#" or "30" or "The End" or anything of the sort at the end of the story. The exception to this comes when the last line of your story happens to fall at the bottom of a page. In this case, you may wish to write the word "end" by hand and in blue ink in the bottom margin of the last page.

Manuscript Setup Rebecca Sinclair ... (Show through: Take a couple sheets of paper with printing on them, lay them down one on top of the other, then notice how much of the second page's printing shows through the top page.) You want as little show through as possible to keep your editor's eye-strain to a minimum.

It's a waste of the intended readers' time and mental effort to write scientific papers that way. ... Back in the day, they had to write like that and they could - no page limits, etc. But today you can write a paper in a proper manner AND give us the anecdotes on your blog so we can see how you really got to it.
