Yet that’s what makes Infidel the important book that it most definitely is. Whether or not readers agree with Hirsi Ali’s conclusions, the clarity of her argument cannot be faulted, nor can the passion with which it is expressed.

It was this book, Infidel, that gave me the courage to come out to my parents as an atheist. I remember my dad, a Christian, had read the book, and offered it to me as an interesting read. That was last summer, and I read the book in three days.
