The Invalid System Disk error is one of the most common when booting a computer. This can occur for a number of reasons. In most cases, this error occurs after an operating system install, reinstall, hard drive replacement or motherboard upgrade.

When i try to boot from floopy i get an error saying "Invalid system disk" ?? Pin 1 is to Pin 1. Power is getting to the drive. Its seen by the bios... Ive tried win2k and win98 boot disks... Tried different cables, tried reversing the cable..

Message - INVALID SYSTEM DISK, AFTER HARD DRIVE FORMAT ... I DECIDED TO REMOVE 98 BY FORMATING THE HD, THEN I WAS GOING TO DO CLEAN INSTALL OF WINDOWS 95 BUT AFTER THE FORMAT THE COMPUTER WILL NOT BOOT FROM THE STARTUP DISK AND THE PROMPT INDICATE "INVALID SYSTEM DISK, REPLACE THE DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
