If you feel real distressed over your hand flapping, definitely talk to your doctor or your T. I just wanted you to know that many of us do "odd" or different things to cope with our environment. It's normal and natural, and many of them we learned as kids to help us cope with situations.

I have a normal job and have many friends. I was teased as a child for self esteem issues but not for hand flapping. No one in school knew I did this. I didn’t do it in front of anyone. Of course my parents knew and maybe some cousins because when I was younger I didn’t hide it.
