In Canada (I am in Canada) in an 8hr day you get 2 - 15 minute and 1-1/2hr break. you get the 15mins on a 5-6hr shift...6.5 you get one 15 and one 1/2 then if you work 8 you get 2 - 15 and a 1/2. ... based on federal law if you work 6-8 hours your employer is required to give you 2 15 min breaks and a 30 min lunch.

The federal law states that you should get a 15 minute break every 4 hours along with a 30 minute lunch break. You can report your employer to the federal labor board. Mind you that you will be opening a can of worms.
