John also likes to count by 10, and square each unit of ten, although he did not list them all. 10x10=100 20x20=400 60x60=3600. However you look at it/interpret it, multiple {and even probably} an infinite number of answers is available to such an undefined question [ so I like that guy that said 400, 100, 3600].

He likes 900 because it is a perfect square. 300, 99 and 370 do not square to be a whole number.
