In 1999 my sister Juanita was told she needed a stint put into her kidney because she had kidney stones. She got pregnant later that year so they told her she could not have the stint removed till after she had the baby.

When I did urinate, it was extremely painful, it was like an intense burning sensation in my urinary track followed by a crinching pain in my kidney. I didn't know if all this pain came from the stent, the stones I was passing or if I had a UTI (the pain was very similar to that of a UTI) - and I was worried.

I have had a couple of stents before, but they weren't because of kidney stones. When I had it in, it caused frequency/urgency when I went to the bathroom, and I often had blood in my urine. It also hurt when I did strenuous exercise.

I don't know if your urologist told you but lemonade is good too especially with real lemon juice diluted with water and if you use sugar remember, it is hard for the kidney to break down sugar so use equal. If you take a vitamin B and Magnesium every day it helps with kidney stones also.
