Founded in 1927, the Heralds has the record for the longest running gospel quartet in US history. For decades, they have been the standard by which all traditional quartets in the Adventist Awe and wonder still follow the mere mention of the "King Herald's Quartet," the name by which they have been known worldwide.

Jerry Dill, 77, who sang bass in the King's Heralds quartet at the Voice of Prophecy radio broadcast from 1947 to 1962, died Jan. 15, at Puyallup, Wash. Memorial services were held there on Jan. 22.
