In the IEEE 1394 tab, set the video device to "/dev/video1394/0". This is the device that will be used for exporting back to tape. If this doesn't work, type "ls /dev/video1394/". There is no genius without a touch of madness... ... Now, when capturing video, be aware of the fact that Kino can be setup to drop video frames, if needed. Designed to improve the audio output, you can disable this feature if you feel that your machine is fast enough for real-time editing.
