Personally, I think it's a combination of overpopulation and cultural kleptocracy. Africa is still a tribal continent in every sense of that word, and I doubt that "MOR FREE MARKETZ" is going to change that. Also, it's a little nuts to compare Sachs and Bono to Colonel Kurtz.
