Knee Noises Injuries ... My left knee makes a crunching noise when I go down stairs or sit down in a chair. It has done it for years and I dont have any pain except for some aches in both knees from time to time. I know a trainer who is a physical therapist and he said if there is no pain it should be ok.

When I kneel down and stand up my left knee cap makes like a crunching noise. It's when I bend it aswell. I'm 20 and it's done it since I can remember. I broke the bones in my shin (tibia and fibula I think) when I was 8 in a car crash...could this have caused it?
