Adultery today is mostly a moral issue but where it is law it is barbaric, have you not read about the stonings in some countries and if it were to be law in so called civilised countries ... There will be a law against breathing soon! What's the point of all these laws when people break them and don't get punished anyway.

Every state has its own laws against adultery. Each one is unique in its own way, but there are similarities between all of them. We aren't necessarily talking about the good old days when you could be stoned to death, but more modern time laws.
