Tomorrow i am going to attempt to laying about a dozen or so paving slabs for my shed to sit on. Whats the best way to go about this? I have just dug out all the shrubs from the raised bed where the shed is going to to go.

The next job is mixing the mortar that you'll use to fix the slabs. Lay a plastic sheet down on firm ground away from the patio and mix the bedding mortar on this. It should be one ... Remember that the patio needs to slope away from the house to allow water to drain off, so take this into account when laying the slabs.

I am re laying an area about 8' x 4' with paving slabs and wondered if it would be OK to lay landscape fabric underneath to surpress the weeds . If so what is best - to lay it under the bedding sand or over it i.e. directly under the slabs ? What is best for levelling etc.
