The Arab League was established in 1945. It has 22 members: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.

The permanent seat of the League of Arab States is established in Cairo. The Council may, however, assemble at any other place it may designate. ARTICLE XI; The Council of the League shall convene in ordinary session twice a year, in March and in September.
