A step up from getting a best fit line by hand is having Excel graph and fit a trendline (mentioned in the Graphing with Excel document). Excel uses the Least Squares Fit method to calculate the best fit line. Using Excel is a good idea for data sets larger than 5 points, for the program takes care of the whole process;
