The nice thing about this machine for single leg presses is that if your leg fails during the press, the consequences are not too great, the bed just stops at the rest position.

She can however make that leg press machine bleed. By eliminating much of the coordination from the exercise she can continue to keep her muscles in shape. I agree that this is an extreme example but it is one that is close to the heart.
