Okay so the other day I noticed a painful lump on the left side of my neck right necks to my jaw line like kind of under my chin but to the left side and back a little. when i look down and put my chin to my chest it hurts really bad and like the lump pops out.

Question: Hard lump in side of neck over 6 yrs ... Hi, I first noticed a hard smooth approx 8mm lump in the right side of my neck at least 6 yeras ago. It is still there. It feels like it is just under the skin and it quite moveable. I have no other symtoms. I do not think it has changed since it I first felt it.
