But Monism can also be defined as the thesis that there is only one spiritual or Divine reality, and that physical and psychic reality are not separate from that. This could be termed "Spiritual Monism", to distinguish it from "Neutral Monism" and Materialistic Monism.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that as long as we don't make the mistake of defining consciousness in such a way that, by definition, it is limited to humans (or even animals with brains), that so-called "materialistic monism" would actually imply that non-organic machines should be able to have consciousness too.
