I would bet that this is some kind of caddisfly larva. The hooks on the back end, and the shape of the head suggest that order (Trichoptera). Remember not all species build cases. ... ERE wins! Caddis larva for sure. Most likely a member of Hydropsychoidea. Overall looks very much like Polycentropodidae,
