Yes, in military jargon a click is 1 kilometer. I am a former army officer commissioned in the Field Artillery. When calling for steel on the target (shooting at the enemy) the distance was always given in kilometers or clicks.

Last post on Today at 4:21 am in After Hours Lounge ... I've seen countless movies where military talk about such and such a target being so many "clicks" away. No one has ever been able to tell me what distance a "click" is. Anyone?
