my mother is in the judiciary - a child will often choose to keep a parent and suffer quietly. i can think of worse. i read in the newspaper recently of a young woman being gang-raped, and her rapists took a video of her begging to be let go and go home during the whole ordeal and sent around the video as phone messages.
