There are four computers on the network. The problem we've been having is that my computer seems to slow the internet down drastically. When my computer is on and using the net, I and the other housemates find our bandwidth drops down to about 100-120kbps, which is obviously not what it should be.

I use adobe album to catalogue my images, but lately it has been slowing down. It takes 3 or 4 seconds for images to come ... I have not found this to be true with all software just Adobe and a few MS products. Not sure why it takes longer. It also seems true on my other computer here at home which has WinXP home version.

You can fix it by doing the following: First, go to Device Manager (Right-click on My Computer; select Properties; click on the Hardware tab; then on Device Manager); ... I tried number 1 and 4s comments and it didnt totally fix the problem but it did make it so when it slows down that its not quite as slow or jumpy.
