I noticed pressure in the sternum area but ignored it and continued doing dips for months. I don't have much pain with mine, just some pressure and it does crack. It also sticks out of my sternum a bit. Its like a little hard ball that I can feel.

Ok im kinda concerned im 15 male, and a lot of my bones stick out, You Can feel all my ribs, and my sternum and its weird but i can feel almost like a lump in the back of my head which is Bone, and is part of my skull but im sure it not ment to be like that.

My sternum is significantly larger than most, and sticks out a bit. A year ago, when I started working out, it stuck out farther than my pecs (which isn't saying much). Fortunately, over the last year I've built up my chest to the point where it's minimized, though not completely hidden.

A popped sternum (and a creased sternum) indicate a situation where the person has "had their heart broken." They have either "hardened their hearts" actually the ligaments, and the sternum sticks out, protecting the heart from further hurt, or have collapsed inward, ever fearful of loving again.
