Both times my iPod nano has frozen up I was plugging the ipod into the USB cable while the the hold switch was toggled on. Make sure to hold switch is togged off when connecting your iPod with the USB cable.

I dont know if you can fix it but ,sucks 4 you I think your ipod is corrupted, the same thing happened wit my old video ipod, so I got another 1, the only thing I can tell you is sell it on ebay and buy another.lol

My ipod has frozen. I have followed your instructions but it won’t turn off. ... Ok, I hooked up my ipod nano into my friends car adapter and it worked great until, I disconnected. Once I disconnected my ipod the ipod screen went crazy and then it froze. I’ve tried all the suggestions and NOTHING has worked.
