I did a small research on it and this is my view - Marijuana should not be legalized because then people will soon ask for the hard drugs to be legalized too and that would be a dangerous situation because of their effect.

@rdiggity; legalizing it would help the economy immensely though, especially in the states where most of it is grown (CA, OR, TN, KY) ... Smoking marijuana is an easy thing to laugh about, it seems there is something about being stoned that brings a smile to people’s faces, however marijuana prohibition is not a joke.
