There's no one to pick up the slack when you're sick, or away on a business trip. There's no one to help out when you're overworked, sidetracked with phone calls, pointless meetings, and menial tasks ... I think as long as you are a strong programmer and can be truly honest with yourself that 1 is the strongest number.
