My own list of overrated movies includes The English Patient, Rushmore, Crash, Reservoir Dogs (I abhor that movie), and anything by M. Night Shyamalan, including The Sixth Sense, which was fine the first time, but once you know the twist, there's not much to it.

Good list. Definitely agree with you on Crash, Scarface, M*A*S*H, and Titanic. I think that Crash is one of the worst movies ever, the rest are just overrated.

That's a pretty lame list of "overrated" movies. Why don't you go for some real sacred cows, like The Maltese Falcon, or The Lion King, or Sullivan's Travels? Heck, why not go the distance and mention the ridiculously overpraised M*A*S*H?

The other day on KGBs morning show, they did a list of the Top 10 most overrated movies of all-time. They got it from something called The List Universe. I searched it out and found their choices. I'll put them here.

The September issue of Premiere runs its list of the 20 most overrated movies of all time. Their list, which they run in alphabetical order: ... Recently overrated movies as of late, in my opinion, include Garden State, Sideways, A History of Violence, Little Miss Sunshine, and Mystic River. Don't get me wrong.

There are just too many movies for them to cover, so the smaller independent horror films rarely make it into the book these days. Also the VideoHound was never too genre friendly in the first place, and their Ten Unbelievably Overrated Horror Movies list proves it.
