So to put it simply, if you want to run homebrew on your PSP, do not update to 2.01. You can't run homebrew on anything newer than 1.50. However, if you have 2.00 firmware you can downgrade to 1.50. So to those who have upgaded their PSP to v2.6, you still can downgrade to v1.5 to be able to play homebrew games and also ISO games. ... I originally had a 2.01 UK/EUR PSP. I used a USA updater to version 2.6 – which successfully worked. Then I downgraded to 1.5 which was also sucessful!
