Backing up with PAR files Slackware ... In contemplating backing up online, decided to get a little fancy and considered using PAR files. how do you use .par files? Linux - Newbie ... I've been downloading and putting multi part archives back together off of new groups with unrar x whatever.rar. I just downloaded a multi part archive and one of the parts is messed up but I also got a bunch of PAR files.
