Right now, I am leaning toward the 1.4 Pentium M because that model comes with a great docking station to content to my keyboard, mouse, LAN, monitor, etc. The other model does not have any such option.

Clock for clock, it actually gives you the same performance, generally for a significantly less cost compared to a similarly clocked P-M. The advantages of the P-M is shared, including less heat generated, lower power consumption compared to the desktop chips (Celeron D, all variants of Pentium 4, Athlon series, etc).
