I only recently (Christmas 2003) took up playing the autoharp again after a hiatus of at least 20 years, so I'm not the expert. But I did a lot of research on the Net when I restarted, so I figure people who want the benefit of that may as well have it.

This is the first rule of autoharp playing: KEEP YOUR INSTRUMENT IN TUNE! You must keep your autoharp in tune if you're going to enjoy it and if you're going to play with or for anyone else. Probably the most inconsiderate thing you can do is to play for someone or come to an instrumental jam with your 'harp out of tune.
