In the first place, Whitman didn't compose poems for the purpose of exploiting uality, not like the f*cking Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue or some such nonsense. No, his frank depictions of uality are as a result of his oneness with nature and as himself as part of nature-- is part of nature, you see.
