In 1978, Enesco Corporation's president saw Sam's Precious Moments on a small line of greeting cards. He took the Precious Moments drawings to Japan where master sculptor Yasuhei Fujioka transformed the one dimensional Precious Moments drawings into beautiful porcelain figurines.
