When we say "how to make dreads" or "how to grow dreads" or "how to start dreads" it is a bit of a misnomer because dreads really make themselves. When you start growing dreads you are just creating the right environment that will dread hair.

After the rubberbands are applied to each dread the dreads should be waxed with a dread wax that does not contain petroleum. A good dread wax will tame loose hairs and help the hair dread much faster.
