If your black clothes are fading you can buy Rit Jean dye for a little over a dollar and have them back in vibrant black in no time. Also wash your clothes inside out in cold water with baby laundry detergent. Works for my almost completely black wardrobe.

I've tried using Rit Color Remover and Rit Whitener & Brightener but neither had an effect. Apparently, a product called Rit Fast Fade used to exist but is no longer with us. What should I do?

Rit dye makes a dye especially made to lighten jeans without having to bleach (which can yellow them) or wash them continually. It's under $5 and they sell it at any drug store---my grocery store even sells it. I can't remember exactly what it ... let them sit in the sun, I know it may sound silly but the sun will fade them.

I know that every body wants to know how to fade jeans. But I want to know how to put dye back in them. I have a pair of Levi’s that are faded in the butt and the front legs. I just want them the same blue jean color. ... Yea, Rit dyes seem to work ok. But aint worn jeans kinda hot?

In reference to your clarification about kits or products, the only one I found was called "Fast Fade" which is a concentrated pre-wash to fade and soften jeans made by Rit, and it's less damaging to the fiber. However, you might need several packets.
