Do those radiator stop leak additives really work? ... For a radiator "pin hole" sized leak I would recommend BARS Leak Stop additive you can buy from any auto parts store. For a headgasket leak I would recommend K&W Engine Block Seal....more about that on my head gasket repair page.

Leave off the radiator stop-leak. Based on my experience (I love old cars! so I have lots of experience), stop-leak stops the water from flowing through your heater core, abrades the seal in the water pump and blissfully ignores the leak.
