Resistors limit current. In a typical application, a resistor is connected in series with an LED: Enough current flows to make the LED light up, but not so much that the LED is damaged. I appreciate your curiosity and daring, but this scripting stuff really requires Netscape Navigator 2.0. Select colors matching those of the resistor. The leftmost color is the one closest to the end of the resistor. A rudimentary resistor identifier.
