The nails, teeth, eyes and other fine details of the Sabertooth Tiger were added by zooming in to the area and using a one pixel wide brush. I created the shadow by duplicating the sabor-toothed tiger, turning the image black and using the tranform tool to skew the dark image flush with the ground.
